The rope construction 8 x 19 Seale – NFC(sisal), see drawing, is without doubt the worldwide most common traction drive suspension rope. But also the rope construction 8 x 19 Warrington – NFC has established itself in Germany and UK due to better fatigue bending properties. Anyway, 8-strand ropes with natural fibre core are the best solution for the conventional traction drive elevator. The rope quality of this rope construction depends on the quality of the fibres and the resulting fibre core.
The rope construction 8 x 19 Seale – SFC(pp) can be used as elevator governor rope.
