8xK26WS is the most widely used rope construction in class 8xK19 which is a high-performance compacted strand wire rope designed for heavy-duty, high-strength, and long-life applications. Its structure has undergone numerous optimizations, making its performance far superior to ordinary round strand wire ropes.
Wire ropes are primarily used in heavy equipment where safety and durability are paramount:
Large mobile cranes: As the hoisting rope and luffing rope for the main boom.
Crawler cranes: Key components bearing heavy loads and impact loads.
Steel mill and port cranes: Used for frequent, heavy-duty material handling.
Continuous annealing/galvanizing production lines: Used as the counterweight rope for loopers, requiring extremely high fatigue resistance.
Marine engineering: Especially plastic-filled wire rope (PWRC), suitable for offshore operating environments due to its excellent corrosion resistance.
Mine hoists: As the main hoisting rope, requiring high safety and long service life.
